I've only had it at the track once. The temps were in the mid 90s and humid. Best run was a corrected 13.62 with 3.73 gears. I just finished swapping in a 4.10 geared rearend so I'll be hitting the track again soon to see how much its changed.

Actually, although I can start it up and move it around right now, the car is still in the process of trying to make it street legal so not everything is mounted and such. With my wedding next weekend and related activities, I have been short of time to do any work to it. I was hoping on driving it this year but it looks as if it will be next year now.

I am cutting part of the floor out to make room for a decent exhaust and working out something to keep the trans mount from breaking constantly. I purchased this car for next to nothing just for the sole reason of playing with the engine, but I enjoy the engine so much that I want to drive it.

I wish to convert over to manual steering but have not had the chance to research what (if any) manual steering boxes are out there that will swap in, so the pump is just sitting there out of the way.

Once I have every component test fitted and functional, then the car gets stripped back down for full cleaning and reassembly.

This is in my '65 Impala. Found it 4 yrs ago with the original, never been touched 52,000 mile 275 horse 327, p/glide, a/c, 3.07 geared 4 link 12 bolt posi.

Its missing the .... Ummm... ok.... its missing everything but it is a 1972 Ford 302. It will slip into either a Shelby Cobra Kit car or a '28-'31 Ford.
