Strollers Car Club, Chattanooga, Tn. Lasted from mid 60's until late 80's or really 90's. They broke up when a lady sued them because her child stuck his finger through a grill into a running electric fan. I was a member from 1972 until about 1985.

Sad story.

I was raised in Cleveland, Texas !
That plaque was probably pressed in the mid-50s.
Moved around some after my divorce and now I'm still about 35 miles West of there.

Heck up here in MN. we still have a lot of car clubs, I belong to the Northern Tin, Our logo is a 32 sedan in the pine trees of MN. Many of the town clubs belong to the MN Street Rod Association. we list them every year in our year book, we have 8 pages of active clubs and I think all have Car plaques, I know all have logos.

So what you are talking about happening 20 years ago we are still doing it, not to hurt anyones feelings maybe thats why we have the largest active car club in the world with over 14,000 members and we are still keeping this alive.

If your clubs and membership are anything like Y'alls magazine then there's no doubt it is LARGE ! Sure hope I can make Y'alls "Back to the Fifties" sometime before one of us is pushing up daisies.

They still make the plaques and new clubs get em & run em and I can get a new one made to replace mine! The picture I posted is a plaque Ive had for many many years and means more to me then a new one that looks exactly like it! It means something more to me! being old and senile like me LOL! Maybe some of you guys cant relate to that! Some plaques are left to us by dead members and are cherished, WHO WOULD REPLACE THAT WITH A NEW ONE! Who would replace that with a new one no matter how banged up the old one is! We just posted pics of our old plaques! post pics of your new ones!!!

What Jester said. The thing you young guys need to understand is our memories from 40 years ago are much better than your current ones. We have had years and years to embellish them.

I'm gonna get my friend to do a pencil rubbing on the one I showed Y'all and see if I can find someone to reproduce it for me.

Anyone know of a place that would do that?
