Showing off a little

Ok guys, it's been a long time coming.
Don't know how many of you have viewed my journal but I poured a lot of effort into this car. I still have a long way to go with drving skills and I need a different rear gear and definitely a brake upgrade. But at least the car is running pretty good now.

Crank up the sound.

Taylors
If it ever quits raining I'll probably take my old Firebird Convertible to the Cruise In at Texas Roadhouse on Wade Hampton this Saturday.
Usually a pretty good turn out there.

I would pay for a ride in that car around that course. (insert drooling smilie)

One day running a car like that is worth getting up and going to work for a year. That is awesome stuff!

That was cool! I have never done that before.

I could tell you don't have a lot of confidence in your brakes. That red BMW would get bigger in the rear view coming into the turns and then disappear when you came out of the turn.

Thanks for sharing the video, nice car!

To get some experience sliding the car spend some time on a skid pad with an exit going through some cones, I know its hard to find a place to do it but doing the cones and hitting the skid pad will keep you on the edge of adhesion so you get comfortable. You won't need brakes for this exercise, its actually better to do it without brakes as you learn to scrub off speed sliding.

Good luck with the brake upgrade, nothing worse than drums holding you back...been there!

Some folks in our car club were going to Taylors today. Too rainy for me and I had to change out the transfer case in my D-in-laws SUV. Sure was nice and dry in the shop when the big thunder storms moved through.
