2002 neon engine to a 98 breeze?
i have a 1998 plymouth breeze with a 2.0 SOHC engine. I have installed a 2002 engine out of a dodge neon (same type engine)2.0 SOHC with 30k miles on it. The crankshaft position sensors are located in different places and the 2002 engine does not have an EGR valve the other engine did. I extended the wires for the cranksensor. Everything seems to be hooked up and done correctly. I had to use the intake manifold off the old engine and make a plate to cover the side of the intake where the EGR valve connected. The engine will not start. It is getting fire it seems to me like the timing is off or something. Im not sure if the two engines are compatible. but everything mounts up. It just seems like something small. Is it possible that the engine needs the computer out of a 2002model rather than the 1998 or what? If anyone can help me out, or refer me to someone or a website it would be greatly appriciated!!
