400 sbc
i have a 400 sbc that is in the machine shop right now,i'm going to use a 400 crank and use manley i beam 5.7 rods will there have to be any extra machine work needed to be done to block or anything?

You won`t know until you drop the crank in and do a mock up assembly. Since your using longer rods there`s the possibility a couple of rods will hit the cam lobes. You`ll want to shoot for .050 clearence between them.

If you're going to use the Manley Pro Series CapScrew I-beam rods they're identical to the Scat ProComp 2-ICR**** I-beams, they're stroker clearanced so they should clear the block. Always check clearance tho'. As for cam clearance I'd check with them to see if a small base circle cam will be needed.
