75' 350 : Edelbrock tall valve covers and A/C Question
Hi everyone! a friend of mine has this 1975 Camaro with a 350
that has Edelbrock tall valve covers on it.- He loves the covers but he wants to reinstall the AC.- What can we do ? Is there some adapter bracket or some mod or trick to make them both covers and a/c fit? thanks !

I assume the stock system used the A6 compressor and the large bracket that goes over the valve cover to hold the back of the A/C compressor.
For my '75 GMC (350 with stock air) I switched to a Seltec compressor and one-piece bracket that I bought from Arizona Mobile Air. The bracket is made out of aluminum and it bolts only on to the front of the engine. There is no bracket over the valve cover. The bracket assembly was not listed online, but they were able to order it over the phone. The only disadvantage it is that the new setup needs an even longer A/C belt than the A6, so it included an idler pulley for the A/C belt. I also switched to a parallel flow condenser at the same time, so I had a complete set of barrier hoses made by a local shop. Bruce |
