92 SBC intake gaskets
I just picked up a new gasket set Felpro and I'm sure someone a whole lot smater than me can answer. On the 2 rear water cooling ports (L&R) the gasket is almost solid except there is about a 3/16-1/4 in. hole. I'm assuming that is restricting the water flow to make it go the proper way or hold it in the block longer. Bottom line I'm just curious as to the purpose and reasoning. Thanks, Eric

You should have a heater port on the right rear corner of your manifold. These gaskets are designed to bleed air, and push the hot coolant into the heater core, instead of back through the engine block.
