1967 impala 327
I have a 67 impala.
Engine ID casting is v0802hc does anybody know what this means in english? People told me this is the factory 327, i want to know if this is true, Help? Register now (free) or login to remove ads |

According to "Chevrolet by the numbers" - 1965 - 1969, by Alan L. Colvin.
Under engine suffix codes, it shows HC to indicate a: 1965: 327 250HP Powerglide,4-BBL 1967: 327 275HP Powerglide 1968: 327 275HP Powerglide,4-BBL 1969: 350 250HP 3-,4 speed,2-BBL DoubleVision: I don't remember there being a 275HP 327 in 1965. Ravenstorm873: check the casting number and date to determine if it might be the original engine. Both are found on the rear, top portion of the block close to the bellhousing/transmission mounting point

if the car is powerglide equipped and the build date was about three months after aug 02 then thats probably the 327 that came in the car
