1994 350ci knocking
I just called an ad in the paper of a guy wanting to sell a 350 for $150. He said his son was driving it one day and it started to knock so instead of fixin it just got a new crate motor. Im scheduled to pick the motor tomorrow. When i get the motor were do I start of finding out where the knocking is. Im really excitied about the motor. The motor is still in the truck and I can hear run. Im just wondering what the knocking could be

Hi,
When you start that engine, you will be able to tell where the knocking is coming from, my guess would be a rod bearing, young guy out beating the crap out of it, just normal stuff. Rich
