400 SBC build up
I need some pointers i have a 78 Caprice 2 door curently 350 in it, getting a little tirerd , i can buy a 1974 400 2 bolt main complete for 300 bucks, should i buy it and if i do would a old Holley dominator intake i think was on a 327 and a 750 holley work good on it, i have these parts at home, and a set of headers and duul exaust for the car, if this will work , what cam shaft will work with these bolt ons.

nice car!
i hope you plan on putting some deeper gears in the axle so that the engine can actually operate in the rpm range that these parts are made to run in, otherwise it will be kinda pointless to do all this. got any pics of the car ? those old aerocoupes 77-80 are getting rare. i only know of one, a 77 impala now. that a buddy has. good luck |

Yes i do plan on that i have a set of Richmond 456 for it, a little steep but will be fun from stop sign to stop sign
