1922 "How to Paint Your Automobile" guide for motorists

This 1922 "How to Paint Your Automobile" guide is making the rounds, originally from Industrial Artifacts Review. It's quite interesting, and, like everything else I see on the internet, I assume it to be 100% accurate. Some choice selections:

Quote:
White lead mixed with turpentine, a little oil and Japan dryer make an excellent primer

Quote:
To meet the requirements of the broad and narrow surfaces, it is well to have two brushes of different width and shape. Good quality bristles of ox, bear, badger or fitch hair are essential.

Some of the images would make great avatars.

This should help my painting efforts! :-)~ I've been doing this since '65, and never heard of some of this. What a find! LOL!
