I have tried to pull the dash out to look behind it but I started pulling it and noticed something was keeping it from coming out so I gave up and pushed it back in.. It was hot and I didnt feel like fighting with it at that point in time LOL

Not sure the whole dash will come out of that car without a torch

As for the ignition----not all that uncommon for someone to wire in a separate button for the starter. The switches are kind of weak.

But, if you are interested, American Autowire will have every harness that car needs-----altho a bit pricey.

Another option with American Autowire is an upgrade wiring kit that will have most of the connections already terminated. Not sure if they have one specifically for your car, but using the upgrade kit for the 59-60 should not be much of a problem to adapt----not sure---you would have to ask Donny B. at American Autowire. If the 59-60 would not be suitable, I believe they have kits for the 65/66 that could also be made to work with a little effort.

I have used AAW products in the past and have beenquite happy. Recently put one of their upgraded harnesses in my 66 ElCamino and that went with little fuss---they even sent me a replacement oddball connector that I had stepped on and damaged for no charge.

the first thing you need to do is get a wiring diagram for the car they are cheap and readily available on ebay once you have that you can go step by step and be sure your doing it right and not just guessing.
