Body Work Newbie.....needing some insight
I would like to begin doing some body work on my truck. I have donor fenders, and new rocker panels and cab corners. I'm not sure that I will paint the finished product on my own, but I would like to do the body work and do the sanding and priming.
My thought was to pickup a small wire welder to tack in the new parts and I planned on picking up DA for sanding. My question I guess is there a good resource on the internet or a good book you guys could suggest for me to read and get on my way. I want to learn as much as I can and I'm willing to put in the time. I just don't want to cost myself extra money by making rookie mistakes. Thanks in advance. One is get a decent welder like a hobart, miller or lincoln..You will need a good compressor to run a DA and a paint gun as well as any other air tools you require or aquire.. When you run into a specific area and have a question ask and someone will try and help...
