72 Mustang Neutral Safty Switch
Im trying to get the 351W finally turned over. I did not remove the old trans but have installed the C6 myself. So im a little clueless with stuff and learning. Im going from C4 to C6 from a truck which was column shift. It looks like I will need a new kickdown link. And also using the old shifter link from the car, when the trans is in park the shifter reads 1st, its opposite. Assuming I am correct with the shift pattern being front to back from the lever in the trans. Anyway, there is no neutral safty switch on the trans. There are some wires coming from the shifter but lead to nothing, im thinking those are backup lights. The car is completely dead, im thinking I need to properly bypass the NSS from the firewall. How to do this? Shed me some light! Thank You

I'm not sure how it's wired, but I'm sure you don't want to by-pass the NSS it is big trouble if you hit it in gear. Hook it up right, and be safe, you sure don't want the car going through the end of your shop.Bob |

I understand, if I dont sell the car it will be done right! This car is for sale and im only looking to fire the engine asap for a possible buyer. He will be aware of this. I think I just need to connect the two wires for the NSS but not sure.....
