78 volare

ok guys i hv a problem i had sluge tht caused low oil pressure i changed the oil after a motor flush replaced all the valve guides oil and filter filter its still mkn a knockin noise in the front no knocking noise at idle should i just replace the rods or wat dnt hv the money or a garage doin the work in the street and with weather conditions but puttin all my effort and time to mk this happen its my only transportation at this time so all hlp will b greatly appreciated ty its a 78 volare with a slant six---225 3.7

If I was in your situation I would put some lucas oil in it and hope for the best. It'll likely last you quite awhile (at least until the weather gets warm again) especially if you baby it. When things are better get the engine overhauled or drop in a good 360 V8.

I agree with the previous poster, however I would start looking at junkyards for a good engine. Search craigslist as well, I've found entire cars in our area (SE MI) with good running slant sixes for $400-$600.

working on pennies

ok, i dont want to swap out the 225 or the 1 barrel, mayb a little more power on a later date, but as of now i have to think reality, if it is a rod is there a way to do this without pulling the engine? i also thnk there mite b a engine at a junk yard, not tht close but i plan to mk a video and pictures in hope it will hlp u all hlp me better
