57 392 Hemi motor mounts
Anyone have any pictures of the motor mount-the part that bolts on the block, for a 1957 Chrysler 392 Hemi?
I'm helping a friend put a 392 into a 1958 Plymouth, we tried using the 318 Poly mounts, but they wouldn't let the engine sit down far enough. Apparently they use different mounts. Anyone have any pictures or have a pair for sale, PM me. I need to know what they look like though. Thanks! Register now (free) or login to remove ads |

No pictures, I could describe them to you from memory (round canister affair w/rubber insert that attaches to the block bosses)- but that wouldn't do you much good w/o dimensions. I'd check w/the various 'antique' vendors like Kanter or Hemi specialists like Hot Heads, etc.
Good luck. |

The 318 mounts you have should work. It's what I used to put a 354 in my 57 Plymouth. You are aware that the stud coming out of the rubber motor mount is not centered? You can (and probably need to) twist these which will make the spacing wider or narrower depending on where they are set now.
