351W or What??

I bought a Jeep that has a V8 motor already installed in it, or was in it until now. I was told that it is an "83" 351 Windsor motor that is out of an I/O boat of some sort. The boat part makes sense since it has a water/fuel seperator in the fuel system and it has a drain valve on each side of the block for winterizing. I have been reading some of the threads explaining the differences between different motors and this does not seem to go along with nearly any of them. I do know that it has a Ford C6 and a NP205 TC that was attached to it. The timing cover is steel not aluminum, the valve covers have 6 bolts and the thermostat is located at the very front of the instake manifold. What exactly do I have here and how good of a motor is it? I am looking to restore it, but not totaly trick it out since it will be in my 17 year old son's Jeep. Has anyone had any dealing with these boat motors? Thanks

From the pics you do have a 351W.
All these are very durable in automotive applications. As far as the Marine version, one can be certain it would be as good or may have upgraded internals, check with the boat guys if you want specifics.
Regardless, very durable and reliable.
