1984 chevy 1 ton need a/c bracket help.

I have this old 1984 or 5 or 6 chevy 1 ton wrecker project. We put a 454 big block in it but we took our time rebuilding it and so now I can't remember how the a/c bracketry and power steering pump bracketry goes back on. Does anybody have some pics of a 1 ton truck with a 454 engine in it and with power steering pump and a/c compressor? I am trying to figure out how they bolt up. I think we may have some mixed up parts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Poke around CraigsList or eBay for motors with pictures, here's one from eBay.

ya that's a start.. I did search eaby, craigslist, youtube and of course the hotrodders.com pages. Found some brackets for sale on ebay. Kept that picture and the one you send a link too, Fixing to go back out there now and try my hand at workin on that truck again. We out a cab on that old wrecker from a parts truck I bought. It had a 350 in it with a/c. it had a smaller a/c pump which I kinda liked. But the engine we put in the wrecker has a 454 in it. And so, then a/c brackets off that 350 don't fit. I have some brackets that either came off the wrecker when it had the 396 in it, or came off of the other parts truck that had another 454 engine in it. But over the 2 years it took us on our days off....stuff gets lost, or stollen, or whatever and so now I don't know what goes where.
I'm going out there right now with my pictures. Lets see if I can figure it out. Thanks for the pic though.

Give me a couple of days, and I'll get you a couple of pics of a 454 in a wrecker. My friend, John, has one at his wrecking yard, and the engine is complete with all the brackets and accessories.

The Craig's list picture looks like a long A6 compressor. Is that what you have, or do you have the smaller R4? If you have an '84 engine, I think they had stopped using the A6 by then.

My '74 GMC repair manual has pictures of the A6 mounted on a 454, but not of the R4.

This is all I can find that makes sense. I remember I helped a buddy swap a 454 into a '78 truck back in '83 and the AC compressor was on the driver's side at the top. I know because I had to make a bracket for it.

Hey! New to the site but have some info: I was trying to find an altenator bracket for a hatchet job on a 350 implant to a C-64. The guy had tried to mount the altenator with the 366 bracket. Short story... Alan Groves in Louisberg, KS had all the info that answered all my questions!! Good man, excellent quality and craftmanship, and exceptional in his knowledge and ability to share it in a website and catalog. He probably has your solution.
