34 Fuel Tank Problems
Hey Guys. I am building a 34 Ford using a BeBop glass body with a TCI frame. I have the body on the chassis and it fits well (all the holes line up). I bought a Tanks 34 steel fuel tank. When I slip the tank up onto the top of the frame the top of the fuel tank hits the underside of the trunk before it goes into place. It seems to me I have to cut the floor out of the trunk or try to find a lower profil tank. Has anyone had this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

34 Fuel tank
Quote:
I have dealt with John (Tanks) for 30 years, his tank is made to fit a 34 steel Ford. I would say that you might have to cut the floor out as they might not have made the floor high enough. I would call BeBop and ask what tank they suggest to use, might save some time and work. Bob |

Hey thanks Bob. After looking at a lot of pics I see the fill comes out just under the body line and just on the top part of the gas cover so by moving the tank back about 2" it clears all. Thanks again
