1949 chevy pickup doors
can someone help me figure out the problem with my door. i have a door that the gap (on the front fender side) starts out about 1/4" but about 6-8 " from the bottom the gap starts to get bigger and bigger. someone has repaired the bottom part of this door and may have gotten the patch piece off and also it sticks out too far at the bottom (it gets thicker on the edges closer to the bottom) any suggestions!!!!!!! the bottom of the door looks like it curves in at the bottom coul this be possible.

Just sounds like you are right someone added a patch panel and it is wrapped over the original door
get a new patch panel and replaceit
