671 blower

Hi everyone, I hope everyone had a great holiday.
I need some advice on this question, I am attempting to put my 671 on top of my 540 in my 73 Pro-Street pickup, when I test fit the blower on the manifold the back of the blower is litterally less than a half inch from touching my cowl. A little background on how I installed my BBC in the truck. It is sitting on small block mounts that came with the truck, it originally had a 350 in which I grew out of. I never had a problem with this when she was naturally aspirated. Now the blower is so far back that timing the engine is going to be a nightmare for me.
Has anyone had this problem before and how did you fix the problem. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I dont know if going with big block mounts will correct this problem. I dont want to go pulling the engine if that wont fix my dillema. Thanks in advance, Jeff

you can have a plate made to move blower up . I can pm you a guy that can do it if you don't have a machinist who can . take in consideration drive and pulleys lining up. its easy to move idler and pullys with spacers you can buy reasonable. and you will have to run a small cap distributer
