327 oil filler tube removal
I've got a 327 out of a 65 Chevelle that has a tall oil filler tube that I'd like to get rid of. I've got a PCV valve on the back side of the motor and both valve covers have vent caps. The motor has been built and is equipped with a high volume oil pump. First, how do I remove the tube and secondly will I encounter any motor issues if I plug the hole?

The tubes are usually just pressed in, with a little "elbow grease" they can be extracted and plugged off with the proper size expansion/freeze plug. Take care not to allow any debris from falling into hole when removing tube. As long as you have a good working pcv system no harm will come.
