185 heads and other missmatched sbc parts

I recently bought some very cheap 307/327/350 heads. They are 70cc casting 3927185 with 1.72 and 1.5 valves. I also received a single plane holley street dominator with the heads. And i have a very old 4bbl Carter AVS carb (actually 2, but i think i can make one work out of the 2).

First off, am i wasting my time with these heads? I plan on porting, polishing, and rebuilding them.

Second, the carb, i dont even know how big this thing is, so i dont expect much on this, but are they decent carbs?? some casting #'s are: c7 4966s and 6-2046

All of this will be going on a 350 or a 327(350 w/307 crank) and will attempt 10:1, a beefy cam, headers, the usual. I am on an extreme budget, but i can take the heads back to where I pulled them and scout for different ones.

Buy the time you spend money wise on the heads they still will not be any better then a set of after market Darts,World Products or even a good set of GM Vortects.

Performance wise with the small runners and valves these heads are a waste of time.
