6 pack for 340 question

Not being a Chrysler guy for most of my life (Chev) I now have a sweet 340 Dodge (69) engine. Could someone tell me how hard it would be to find a tri power set up for this motor. What would I expect to pay for a decent one. Couldn't find anything online. Not much on e-bay.

Well Chevy was always my dream car (so I own 6) but Mopar fed and clothed me for many years (so I own 4). My father worked for them for 30 years.

A car bud of mine had a '73 Demon with 6 pack on it. He went to a blower (AND brings home a troghy at all car events) since most like his new toy.

A lot of us thought he was #$^^ crazy for hacking a hole in an original 6 pack hood for the blower.

But I think for a complete set up you can expect to pay a fair amount? Ebay or not.

I have seen 6 pack set ups on Ebay every once in a while. They are going to be at least $1,500 and up in working condition. You will have to keep your eyes open. Maybe you will get lucky and find one at a reasonable price.

Here are the carbs:

For what's its worth, I've read that a good 4 barrel is easier to set up and will perform better than the 6 pack set-up. But I must admit that the 6 pack sure looks sweet. Good luck.

I built two resto 340 6 pack engines about two years ago for a customer. At the time we bought the entire setups from Koller Dodge in Michigan. However since then they've changed their website and their ownership so it might end up as a dead end for you but I'd try calling them and asking anyway. I think their new name is Dodge of Napierville or something to that effect. The entire setup, carbs, linkage, and manifold went for about $1200.

I'll follow that up and thanks. As for wanting to run a 6 pack? They sound great (wide open) and look sweet.

You guys are making me miss the challenger I used to own

I had looked for one before and people always want two arms and 3 legs.

little off subject but I just read some where that they just started making a 4" steel crank under 300$, its suposed to be offered for the 340 and 360 mains. Just thought I would pass it along to you while your looking for your induction system.
