Thanks for the info on the "CHOC". As a matter of interest do you and MIKO use the camera? The pics look like they were shot at the same time of day. Yours are in direct sunlight and hers are in shade. Were the cars moving when you shot them? MIKO has a very good eye and great composition!

We like to position ourselves at the exit to watch cars leave after car shows are over. Muscle cars rumbling by are a much different experience than seeing them merely parked.

I used a Nikon coolpix point and shoot camera and was going for front lighting on the paint and chrome. Miko used a Nikon DSLR with a 300mm lens (about 9X magnification) so she was getting a distant view with tricky mottled lighting. Seeing the meats on the back made these cars look much more formidable and the compressed view of the telephoto effect makes the shapes appear steeper and thicker.

“Your cars look fat!”

I figured by the soft focus (slight blur of the wheels) that those cars were moving. The camera resolution and possibly file size really does make a difference in the pics. The long lens does give a shortened effect as well. You are right about the tricky mottled shade lighting. She handled it very well. Show her this thread as she deserves the compliments.

Nice pics. Looking at all of them I thought that this car looked familiar.

It's the Overhaulin' Double Trouble ElCamino. The one the woman owned that worked at NAPA and had her ElC stolen and then the NAPA truck all in the same day.
