Side draught carbs - worthwhile?

What do you guys think of the idea of using 4 side draught carbs like Webers on a 350 SBC? There are guys making such manifolds but I'd be making my own.

Yes, getting the linkages synchronised will be a slight mission but how do you think it will run?

When tuned...

right, they work as well as fuel injection, however,
you're looking at over $2000 for the carbs alone, never
mind the manifold...
