Red face Signal Light switch keep geting stuck...

my 72 Z28 ,,My signal light switch stays on when making a left or a right .Slowly it started happening untill they get stuck now . I already checked the relay switch and thats good. I dont have any more clues but thae actual switch in the stearing col. What do you guys suggest ?

just a guess, but it i think it might be the self-cancelling mechanism in the column. pull the steering wheel and there will be a nylon fitting under the wheel. probably what's happened is the little 'cams' on this nylon piece have worn off and are no longer making contact with the switch.

Sometimes with switches and stuff the grease jells or gets really dirty... it can often be fixed by pulling the setup apart and regreasing it all...
