Post Similar car show gripe

We have hit on many unpleasantries about car shows, and this is just another. At a Good Guys run once, my wife had our Plymouth minivan parked on the show field. It was far away from the real cars and not in anyones way. The annoncement came over the PA. Some thing to the extent of will the owner of the minivan with registration # XXX please move this vehicle from the field. This show is for pre-72 classic cars, only! (I had the sticker from my chopt 53 in the window so she wouldn't have to walk far.) I moved it. It was not right for me to have it there. I tried the system and lost. Here is the kicker:
There was more than one Prowler IN the show. Not a display, vendor, or aftermarket supplier, but personally owned Prowler.
Don't get me wrong. I like the Prowler. I even have the Car Craft that has the original dootle that the car was based on. BUTTTT a 98 or 99 Plymouth is a 98 or 99 Plymouth no matter what! That was the begining of the end for me with the Chuckle Heads from Good Guys!

You can't tell me a bad GoodGuys story I won't beleive no matter how bad it is. They are not a member-friendly organization . . . unless they see a bulge in your back pocket. Then they are your best friend until they reduce the size if that bulge.

My advice - stay as far away from them as you can.

I don't give a rats *** about anything anymore I hate the local cruise ins(should I say the local wallet comparison shows).I entered in the Hot august nats this year mainly to cruise,I don't care, didn't have a snow balls chance in hell of winning anything. My car was a 1978 the first year allowed so I entered the R/T contest w/ a 1985 prostreet cutlass,87 monte SS,and 79 malibu,go figure.

No,I'm neither an optimist nor pessimist. The tank is neither half full, nor half empty. But the bastard is leaking in my driveway.
