Post simple question on heads

what exactly is a 3 angle valve job? the machine shop did this to my heads and i have no clue of what this is.

THey make the material around the valve seat more radiused so it will flow higher. The valve sits on the 45 degree angle, and the 30 and 60 is before and after. There is also 5 and 7 angle valve jobs for competition.

Flow is the advantage but it's done primarily to keep the seats a certain size as well as uniform. You can do the same to the valves too and it helps flow as well.
