This first pic is my problem. The thread grabber (if thats its name) catches the top thread on its second time around before the stitch has time to tighten up.
The next pic is of the machine threaded and if im not mistaken, the "take up" does have some adjustment (the two chrome disks move independently; the rear one allowing the small spring to sit low or high) which i thought would put more tension on the up stroke allowing the stitch to tighten before the grabber came around. This doesnt seem to be true. The only thing i can see that might be wrong is that spring sometimes gets hung up on the casing of the machine instead of resting on the intended disk (illustrated with the RED arrow).
