Whatever machine that is, it does not have a walking foot. Walking foot is a term to describe a machine that has alternating presser feet. Such a machine has three separate vertical shafts. Two of the shafts hold the two halves of the foot, and the other shaft holds the needle. The next thing you need to do is replace the leather belts with rubber "V" belts of the same approximate length. The machine has a built in mechanism to run the machine faster or slower depending on which groove of the multi groove sheaves you connect together. The smaller the driving pulley is, and the bigger the driven pulley is, the slower the machine will run, and vice versa. This machine will sew two pieces of fabric together, but it's not going to be very good at sewing things that are thicker than that. I'm thinking this is more of an industrial garment sewing machine.

Can you take some pictures from the other side of the machine, and more close up?

No one lives forever, the trick is creating something that will.

My family has had a treadle powered Singer in the family since I believe the late 1800s. Its built into a desk of sorts; for storing sewing supplies. All the ones with the larger flat worktop that Ive seen were the industrial type units, as Dan mentioned, but Im certainly not an expert by any means. Ours has a lot of gold leaf on the actual sewing apparatus itself.
