singer sewing machine
hi guys I just picked up a model 384 singer, do you think it can be used to upholster a car. thanks for your response. doc57

The 384 is a vintage 1960's portable home sewing machine. It has needle feed only. Unless all you are doing is sewing two pieces of fabric together, you will not be able to sew an entire car interior with this machine.

Don't believe theses guys on eBay who tell you that you can properly sew auto interiors with 15-91 and '66's. They're great machines but are " dress makers". You can probably actually make a set of seat covers with these machines if your not sewing foam. But the job is about doing it right for something to last.
