Single stage re-paint?
I painted my truck with single stage ureathane and I need to change one thing. It's a '46 so it has the headlight cans and turn signals on top. I want to re-paint the turn signal covers. They are red right now and want to re-paint them burgundy. Do I have to strip and re-prime then paint or can I just scuff and re-paint? The paint is only two weeks old thats why I'm asking.
Thanks |
just scuff and paint

DA with 400 and then shot your SS.

Basically, think of it as clear coated. About the same concept now days.

Yep, SS is Base Coat / Clear Coat mixed together, Basically.
Most of the time, when I used a single stage, I clear coat anyway. Make a very deep look. Frank |
