Is this site SL-O-O-W nowadays???

The past week, instead of instantly coming to life, every load and post here is about as slow or worse then any I frequent. Additionally, it has been down for maintenance several times.

Did it get 'hit' with one of the bugs so prevalent on the internet lately?

I don't think it's slowed down but I notice sometimes when I go to click on a link, the page jumps and I click something lower in the page. No, I'm not joking or smoking or drinking either..lol. I think it is because the carousel at the top of the page is loading. Irritating at times. But I do like the carousel, I check out a lot of things I probably would never notice if it weren't there.

Site Slow

http://www.hotrodders.com might go slow for a number of reasons such as too much traffic, technical glitches, etc.

OK - haven't seen the jumpiness in the past few days others said and since I started this, but it's still much slower then it had been for the last 5-6 years. Maybe the new owner has made some changes that moved the site to another server as there was at least a couple times when I got 'maintenance' messages ------ hmmmmm

It acts weird for me, not jumpy tho'.
When I click Back on browser it always goes to the top of the Page. Not where I was last at??
Also when I hover my mouse pointer over a Thread link it doesn't highlight the description on a new thread, only works on Threads that have been read??
Speed seems mostly normal.
This is the only Site doing this for me.

No matter what, this should not be happening - - - - no excuses except just not fixing it.

After my Post above I noticed the jumpiness. Just as I click on a Link the page jumps so I get the wrong Link.

i mentioned this in the Hotrodders has been sold thread. every time i hit any button, say for instance "new posts", the page gets stuck in a refresh loop until i hit the stop button on the address bar. same thing if i am reading a post, then hit "reply". if i don't hit the "x" stop button, the page keeps refreshing and gives me a error code saying "you must wait 10 seconds before refreshing".

i was told by Helen to clear the cookies but this is not my first rodeo, i had already cleared them and restarted my computer several times over the few days this has been happening. a slow internet connection would explain it but none of the other 12 tabs open do it and none of the other website or forums do it. the only thing i can think is the recent site aquisition may have some thing to do with it. for instance, if they are migrating servers or something.

anyway, I hope it clears up soon...

Slow

Ever since the site was sold it has gone down hill in speed and more screw ups when you click on something...reminds me of windows 95 all over again
