Site Suggestions and Help - slight renaming of section

every so often i see questions in this section of the "help me fix my vehical" nature, and while im sure its not a BIG problem, im sure its a bit of an annoyance to move the thread

ive always figured that people mistakenly posted these types of threads in this section because of the word "help" in the title

maybe renaming the section to "Website Suggestions and Error Reports" would eliminate this, considering noone ever thinks of a flat tire or a blown fuse to be a "vehical error" ...

HELP!!!!111 I have a General Car Error and it won't let me login! Should I reinstall the engine and slam the doors?

I think you're right about the reason for the 'help me' posts in this forum. Maybe just transposing the words would end some confusion: "Site Help and Suggestions".

This has been brought up in the moderator forum before. To research it, I went around to all of the sites on our Crankshaft Coalition Master List of Hotrodding Forums, and recorded the terms that they were using for their "Site Suggestions and Help" forum. Here's the alphabetized list of all the terms that the other forums are using (re-printed from the moderator forum thread):

Out of that list, is there anything that you guys think would be superior to our current name?

My take is that renaming it will not be enough. I think that there has to be a red-text warning when someone goes to make a new post in the Site Suggestions and Help forum.

Ideas?

Site Ideas & Improvements is what catches my eye there

its avoids words like "problem" or "help" ...

hmm, ive always wanted to know if there was a way to get instuctions to show up in the message window (the one im literaly typing in right now)

like alot of sites use for forms, the text box's mige say (username) or (password) untill you start to type, at which time the instructions disappear ...

Yes, we can make messages show up directly in the window.

However, what I'm considering here is to make a large red-text banner show up *above* the posting window. We can set it up so that it only shows for members about to post in the Site Suggestions and Help forum, and only if they have, say, less than 100 posts on the board.
