size differance GM 350 and LS1
I have a setup / replica GM 350 long block, with tight fit headers and transmission. But the vehicle I’m building is getting a LS1 engine. I am just finishing up the front suspension and I’m mounting the R&P. The question I have is if I used the 350 to check for steering shaft angle and clearances would the LS1 be that much different and cause problems? I have about 3” below the 350 oil pan and at least 1”or more on both headers to frame.
Also does anyone know the difference in weight between an installed Iron and Aluminum ls1 not including Trans?
