sky lights , best placement

Hello.. I have a modest 1 car garage and the house and garage will be getting a much needed roof, I bought 2)21"x48" sky lights. to help with light on the back end of the garage.. it's 26' long so the back side doesn't get much light from the garage door, the roof pike being 4' in from the front doesn't help matters..
anyways.. sould I put the skylights(windows) closer to the sides of the garage (say 6-8" from side wall) or more centered ( 2.5-3' in)

thanks..

I suppose it would be a matter of preference as to when you needed the additional light and how your garage is positioned, is there any obstructions like tall trees, other buildings, etc. If you need the light in the mornings, put them on the East side, in the evening put them on the West. If it were me, I would put them in the center but without knowing all the details, not sure which side.

no trees/etc
east side is the front of garage, door is there. putting a skylight above the door would only help when door is closed..
