Lightbulb slanted pilars and cutting glass

are my rear windows going to roll down if I slant the pillars? also where can I get a windshield cut in or around northern virginia?
does anyone know how I can use my old guages after I switch to 12v? is it just a matter of wiring in those little diode/ resistor looking things <-electronics idiot.? ~mac

Not knowing what car we are talking about, these is just generalities.

The glass will NOT fit once the top is lowered. No matter if you lengthen the top, angle the posts, they will not work. New ones have to be made.

What kind of car are we talking about?

well it's a 49 pontiac. I don't have a problem with the flat glass being remade, I was wondering if the rear windows will roll down after the pillars are slanted forwards.

Ok, bear with me, I am still not clear on what you are saying. Are you talking about the CENTER posts? You plan on slanting the center posts? You could make the glass go up and down, but it would take some reworking being the window now goes up and down. In fact, if I am not mistaken those windows don't go "up and down" but rather they "tilt" on the rear with only the front going up and down. If this is the case it would take some serious work to make them work. But heck, if you are chopping a top, you certainly can do it.

Get out there and make a cardboard template of the window as it will be. Hold it up to the car and make it move as you invision it will, this will tell you a lot.
