sloppy header gaskets :-(

i'm porting my vortec heads. i am trying to match up the headers and gaskets. the headers and the gaskets are really sloppy on the bolts. to the point that i had almost 1/8" of gasket hanging down into the allready to small exhaust ports. and possibly even part of the header. i'm looking for ways to keep the gaskets and headers lined up during porting and during installation, so it all lines up correctly. any ideas ?

thanx

Might try gasket tack...? Permatex makes it... Or we also used "Gorilla snot" the 3M weather strip adhesive...

Outlining with a pencil or magic marker on the outer part of the gasket will help you keep it located properly also...
