I know this is a very old thread, but I have what I believe is a BOP patterned 700r4 sat under my bench:


It's certainly not chevy and was told it was out of a pontiac. I'm thinking binning it as its in my way - should I?

That's not a BOP bolt pattern. That's the narrow V6 bolt pattern as used in the RWD F-bodies and S-10s. That trans bolts to the 2.8L V6 and now the FWD 3800 V6s as well.

Once again, there was NEVER a BOP 700R4 case.

LOL........it's the small V-6 as mentioned and the stator support is gone or broken off.
