Replacing a flexplate on 400 chevy (external balance.) Unfortunately, forgot orientation of counterweight on original flexplate and there are no dowel pin on crankshaft to orient new one. Arrgh

Sooo, which way does the flexplate go on?
In other words, does the counter weight on the flexplate align with counterwieght on crank? In this orientation, if the counterwieght on the damper in front was at 12 o'clock, counterwieght on flexplate would be like 6 o'clock. Or, does counterweight on flexplate go in same position as balancer? 12 o'clock balancer, 12 o'clock flexplate?
Hope this makes sense, or someone can give a better answer.
Thanks for all your help!
