Post Small Block Deck Question

I`m curious on how far below deck a small block chevy is at TDC, lets say example is a 350, I`ve read it`s .025 below deck from the factory, and I`ve seen others say it`s around .012 or so, which is it? Thanks. DV

hmm do you got an engine that has no heads on it? Thats a good way to check.
I thought that they all might be slightly different depending on application and defects.

small block chevies can be anywhere from .008 to .052 deck height, sometimes on the same block!, MOST are in the .020's. Had a 400 once that was zero deck on one end and .043 on the other, at an angle!
