Question Small Block Gear Ratios

I am building a 34 Ford fibre glass roadster. I have a 327 sb chev 30 thou over steel crank solid lifters 11.5 :1 compression balanced with a 600 cfm spread bore holley.I am planning a 4 speed manual, I have a ford top loader g/box. If it is to much trouble to install I will go to a late model auto trans. I want to run street and strip. I have a ford 9 inch diff with 4:11 gear set will this set up work well for the street?
Will the sb be reving to high? can anyone help.

your rpms will be up there , 411s are marginal for the street and forget the hiway, but these gears can be a ton of fun,I'm running a set in an 80 Z/28 but also running a 700R4 tranny and 29+ dia tires to compensate for them. In my opinion 355 gears are the best all around gear for performance vehicles

Hello.
Depending on tire height, you will be running around 2800 rpm's at 60 mph with 29 inch tires. Just depends on how much you drive and how far you cruise. HG

Do you have enough cam for the gears? If it turns say 2800-3000@ 60mph and your cam makes power to 3800(most stock cams)You'll wind out at like 4200rpm/75-80mph. The nastyer the gear the higher the rpm range you need to make mph.
