Red face Small block Mopar roller rockers

I just went through an experience with Comp Cams that I'd like to talk about and see if anyone else has run into. I recently built a 340 for a customer. After the initial build up the customer purchased a roller rocker kit (rockers, shafts, spacers)from Comp Cams spending a large amount of money in the process. Anyway when I went to install the kit I found that the spacers provided were in my opinion way too wide for the application. The center spacing between the valves of a stock LA engine (273, 318, 340, 360)is 1.875 and when assembled the rockers were 2.035 apart, a full .160 off. The spacing was enough that the pushrods rubbed the sides of the pushrod holes and the roller tips only contacted about 75% of the valve tips. We checked his part numbers, checked the Comp Cams catalogue and website and verified that what he recieved was accurate. This is where the P.O.'d part starts, when we contacted Comp Cams the cooperation we recieved was appalling. They claimed that they've "never had a problem" and that because the parts were put on the vehicle there was nothing they could do and it was now our problem. HUH? What kind of customer service is that? I spends hundreds of dollars a year with these people and they won't even discuss something like this. What kind of engineering went into this setup? Did anyone at Comp Cams even bother to try this setup on an actual cylinder head? Anyway to make a long story short we re-engineered the thing (all of about 10 minutes and some basic math) and ended up making our own spacers in the shop and all is now ok. To finish, is there anyone else out there with a small block Mopar with this setup that has run into this problem?
