Small distributor for SBC

What do you recommend for a small HEI with vacume advance for my 327. Does Mallory make one. I could use the stock points one and change it to electronic but would prefere to purchase new. If it's a Mallory I need a Model number. Thank you.

Does the Mallory Unilte require a serperate mounted coil. I looked at Summit and the cap looks to small to house one.

S I guess I have two good choices for external coils. Mallory and Accel. I think I like Mallory's small chrome coil.

Use some good grade plug wire's to help compliment the set-up.

Can you tell me what wires to use please. I don't mind spending the extra to get quality.

If your using the Mallory use their wire's, Accell 300+ wire's are good but don't last that long with my set up.
I use the Mallory Comp 9000 dist, Hy-fire l V CD system with duel rev limiters, and the street coil.
IM going to change to the Mallory wires this winter they have lower OHM resistance to them.
I belive another manufacture just came out with a 40 OHM per/ft a few months back, which would be good.
Accell's warranty gave me another set.

Do I have to run a ballist resistor with this set up. Just wondering as I was reading a wiring diagram on the unilite and it showed a resistor but not the model # so I wasn't sure.

You only use a resistor if your voltage source is 12 volts. Some cars have resistor wires going to the ignition. Check your voltage with a meter. You want it between 8 and 9 volts, 10 at the maximum. If it is too high use the resistor to bring it down.

Why small distributor needed? Do you have clearance issues or just like the look of small? My friend is running a tunnel ram and had to go the MSD route because of clearance.
