Use some good grade plug wire's to help compliment the set-up.

If your using the Mallory use their wire's, Accell 300+ wire's are good but don't last that long with my set up.
I use the Mallory Comp 9000 dist, Hy-fire l V CD system with duel rev limiters, and the street coil. IM going to change to the Mallory wires this winter they have lower OHM resistance to them. I belive another manufacture just came out with a 40 OHM per/ft a few months back, which would be good. Accell's warranty gave me another set.

You only use a resistor if your voltage source is 12 volts. Some cars have resistor wires going to the ignition. Check your voltage with a meter. You want it between 8 and 9 volts, 10 at the maximum. If it is too high use the resistor to bring it down.
