Small Oil Leak... Around cylinder heads

I've been breaking in my rebuilt 350 that sat since Dec 06' . but a few concerns have come up. Probably nothing major...

Oil pressure is fine, but after driving it around my neighborhood, I see very small amounts of oil sweating from the cylinder heads. You almost cant tell unless you really look for them. However on the back side of motor where the casting numbers are, you can see a little more.

Could the cylinder heads loosened for sitting so long?
Could the head gasket be the culprit?

Another thing I must add, is that I'm running full synthetic oil....

Should I take the valve covers off and torque the heads down?

you running thin chrome junk valve covers ?
grind gasket side ruff so gasket bonds better .
them thin covers walk the gasket out like header gaskets from temp changes
and shinny chrome helps this happen .

yeah the valve covers are the cheap holley's....

Tomorrow I'm aquiring a set of Edelbrock Elite valve covers on a trade. I'll get new valve cover gaskets and try to rough up the gasket side of the covers...

If you use cork valve cover gaskets, coat them with vaseline and rub it in. This will keep them moisturized.
