Smaller HEI Distributor
Hello,
I have a friend with a 39 Chevy with a small block in it and the HEI distributor is too close to the firewall to allow proper adjustment. She does not want to dent the firewall to obtain the necessary clearance to allow adjustment of the timing. Does anyone know of a version of the HEI distributor that has a smaller cap that would allow adjustment? Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer.

You can check out MSD ready run distributors. There are other manufacturers, and people will chime in on there opinions and experiences.
