OK must be blue smoke these motors are smokers 3.0-3.3s with high miles, valve seals and or blocked oil return holes!

My girlfriend had a Sundance that ran erratic.
I put it on the machine at work and it showed
nothing wrong. Didn't have much time to play
with it that day. At home I tried the key check
method and found fault code problem.
Next time problem occurs, shut car off,turn key
on [without starting],turn key off, do this twice
ending up with key in on position. Now watch check
engine light to flash fault codes. EXAMPLE-2 flashes followed by 3 flashes would be fault code 23 ect.ect.ect. Final code 55 should flash when
check is complete. I found problemoo this way.

I,m thinking its oil as well, Just a little mystified about the amount of oil usage. Guess I'm gonna do the valve seal replacement thing and hope for the best. Never really got into the 'Parts replacment without knowing the cause thing' It's get real expensive real quick. Thanks for the tip about key diagnostics, That also came clean, Other than the logic com. fualt(Known software issue).No I haven't Found enough time to search the service Bullitins yet but I will get right on that. Roys63, Have you got more info on the 3.0-3.3 smokers problem? I used to work at a Ford Dealership and my buddies over there let me use the shop at night so they don't have the most info on Diamler/Chrysler Thanx a million every one
