smoking going down a long steep hill

i noticed that my car belching out cloud of white smoke going down a long steep hill.
my foot off the pedal and letting the motor do its thing.
im thinking maybe seals are going.
but PCV was wet as hell even though i got a baffle.
so now im thinking to add a bit of steel wool into the baffle to help .

Stem seals are most likely shot and the guides are probably worn out too. Looks like head time.

Are you sure it was white smoke? White smoke is steam from the coolant leaking into the cylinders, oil makes blue smoke.

Smoke

Doc here,

Also ATF either through induction,(bad modulator valve) or dripping on exhaust pipes...

Both will give of a sickly sweet smell...
