Wow Troy, I never really figured you'd be one to do something like that. Do you ever think about doing that and regret doing it? I'm not trying to start something either, just being younger and interested in someone's old stories. I mean, we've all done stuff we aren't proud of that has bit us later. Who knows, share your thoughts and maybe someone else may not do the same thing.

Now days I would laugh a person out of the shop, if they ask for someone to do that. In my younger days I did a lot of things I would not consider now. Every one did it, at the time it wasn't illegal to do it as long as the seller did not lie about it. I bought and sold lots of cars over the years and I didn't do any of mine, unless the buyer wanted it done. I made lots of dollars repairing speedometers. Of course in those days you could dump shop wast in the ditch or on a dirt road. Oh but not now.

So what really caused you to stop doing it? The maturing of you, or the maturing of the laws? Whichever it was, it sounds like it built integrity into you.

I guess it was a little of both. When the federal government said, hey you can't do that anymore. It makes you really think about it, that some people were getting ripped off. And it certainly would not help the reputation of the businesses doing it.

If I could go back and change anything in my life that would have made it better, but would have to also change the good parts, I would not change a thing. I've had a good life, some ups and downs, more ups than downs. And believe me I'm no saint. In those days I could drink most people under the table and still fight my way out of a bar, in fact I thought that was the only way you could leave for the night. And of course by then all the Ladies were 10s, Whoooo Hoooo what a time I had............

haha WOT in reverse for 2 days... lol motor wouldnt like that and 2nd your wallet would get thin in a hurry, at elast with my motor it would lol

another think you can do is spin the speedo forwards and take a pic... that way you can have "proof" your car does 150.... nothing a running engine, slow driving, a drill and a slow shutter speed cant do! as for the actual spedometer reading backwards... it will if their is no stop pin... if its round i guess the needle could go around and it would look like your going 100 in reverse..
